Sina “Evolve” Ghami, a pioneering sports rehabilitation specialist and long-time personal coach to the former world heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua, has died following a car accident while on holiday. His death has prompted tributes from across the boxing and wider sporting communities, where he was widely respected for his expertise, loyalty and innovation.

Ghami, known professionally as “Evolve”, was a core member of Joshua’s training team for more than a decade. Serving as his strength and conditioning and rehabilitation coach, he played a central role in managing the boxer’s physical development, recovery and longevity at the highest level of the sport. A childhood friend of Joshua, Ghami was a trusted presence in training camps and frequently appeared in his corner during major fights.
